As Department of Transport figures show that almost 20% of drivers involved in fatal accidents have traces of illegal substances in their system, police are planning to crackdown on drug-drivers this summer. A roadside testing kit is being approved by the Home Office, but until it is available the Police will be relying on "commonsense tests" for people they suspect of being under the influence.
