A motorist in Nottingham has received two speeding fines from the police despite being parked outside his house. 

He has received these notices as the police did not notice that it was another car that was caught speeding by the camera outside his house, and that his car was stationary.  The police have now apologised to him, but Jeff Bucks told the Nottingham Evening Post: "I'm concerned now that every time someone triggers the camera I'll get these notices.  I am amused by it, but also angry that I have to go to the trouble of contacting the police."

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Police has stated that staff were receiving guidance about the importance of verifying images properly.
